Your state may help pay for Sora Homeschool.
Idaho's Parental Choice Tax Credit is a refundable credit of up to $5,000 per child each year for nonpublic education costs, including curriculum. You apply through the Idaho State Tax Commission, and funding is limited.

- Pay as usual and keep receiptsPay for Sora Homeschool during the year. The credit is based on qualifying expenses you've paid.
- Request your receiptAsk us for an itemized receipt for each child.
- Have your Idaho tax return on fileThe Tax Commission needs an Idaho Form 40 from you before you apply, even if you don't normally file.
Processing takes 7–11 weeks - Set up a TAP accountTaxpayer Access Point (TAP) is the Tax Commission's online account, and it's where you apply.
Registration takes up to 2 weeks - Apply when the window opensSubmit your application and receipts through TAP. Funding is limited, so apply as soon as the window opens.

Getting your receipt from Sora
Itemized receipts are available on request. Each one lists your child's name, the dates covered, the amount paid, and the subjects included:

Worth knowing before you apply
Awards go first to families whose income is at or below 300% of the federal poverty level. Other applications are waitlisted and processed in the order they were received.
You and your child must be full-year Idaho residents, and your child can't be enrolled in public school.
The curriculum has to include English language arts, math, science and social studies. Sora Homeschool covers all four.
